Greening your lunch!

Ouch…

MEAT, MEAT, MEAT, MEAT,

MEAT, MEAT, MEAT,  LETTUCE

MEAT, MEAT, LETTUCE, LETTUCE

MEAT, LETTUCE, LETTUCE, LETTUCE

Hey, folks! The deal is to vary your diet, and to reduce the size and quantity of beef. In 2010 Brazilians ate 5% more beef than in 2009. Last year each of us ate on average 83 pounds. In total, Brazil ate more than 13 billion pounds of meat, a mega BBQ!

Imagine the size of the problem?

I know everyone likes a steak, but everyone knows, as well, that beef production is one of the activities that most impacts the environment.

So I invite you to a challenge: REDUCE THE SIZE OF THE BEEF!!!!!!!!

Another good tip is to choose a weekday to go without eating meat.

We’ve done that, first one day and soon it became a routine. We’re not 100% vegetarians, but we achieved a significant reduction in our meat consumption. Besides the perception of concrete improvements in my health, I have the satisfaction of those who are doing they part.

In all, this is it!

Now I’ll have dinner: pizza with eggplant and cabbage, cashew nuts and catupiri, soy and cinnamon sauce !!
